Hi everyone!
My name is Allison, and as the subject line says, I'm new to the zone. I'm loving it so far, and have already signed up for a premium membership. I'm just exploring the site, and thought I'd drop in and say helloto everyone. I'm extremely bad at writing interesting intros, so I'll just give some general information about myself for now. I'm 22, totally blind, single, and a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm working on a master's degree in rehab counseling, and have a duel undergraduate degree in English and vocal performance from Chatham University. To check out my demo recordings, go to
http://www.allisonmervis.com/
Comments on my music and paypal donations are welcome, especially paypal donations. Lol! Let's see....What else interesting can I tell you about myself? I enjoy meeting new people, going to movies, restaurants shopping, bars etc, reading, singing and surfing the net. I think that's all for now. You can all wake up. Lol! If you'd like to find out more about me, feel free to check out my profile. Bye for now.

Welcome Allison. I'm Becky from Ohio. Good luck in school. Feel free to ask me or any number of other helpful people on here if you have any trouble or questions about the site.

Welcome to the Zone Allison, glad you’ve joined up. Good luck with that degree, I know how school can be. I’ve got an M.Ed. in Counseling, and was looking towards being a rehab counselor, but wound up working with abused kids instead. Funny in which directions life can lead. Anyway, I’m sort of new here too, but I’d be happy to answer whatever questions you have if I’m able.

Hope you have fun here at the zone,

Glenn

Thanks to both of you for the warm welcome. I know all about the crazy directions in which school and life can take us. Throughout my undergrad, I wanted to go to grad school for about seven different degrees, and even entertained the possibility of attending seminary and becoming a pastor at one point. What a crazy hippy church I would have run. Lol.

My undergrad is in music, and my grad degree is in rehab counseling. thorugh many a career change, I wound up a technology instructor for speech and braille products. Last job I ever wanted, but I absolutely love it. Welcome, and if you have questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks to all for the welcome. I've just discovered Grafiti and zone by phone. Lou, you mentioned that you're an assistive tech instructor. That's actually what I'd like to do when I finish this program, but we'll see what opportunities arise.

Hey Allison, I'm Daniel, the friendly neighborhood perro, from San Diego. While I'm currently in an educational hole, I'm looking to do something along the lines of rehab counseling as well. Welcome to this wonderfully insane place.
